Barefoot Foundation.org is a global advocacy for Sustainable Education Initiative. We are a not-for-profit 501c3 organization, dedicated to fighting the devastating effects of extreme poverty.
This is accomplished through amazing power of Environmental education and self sustainability programs. We conduct this activity for benefit of families and citizens of the world who do not have the money nor the means to buy clothing and shoes. The projects we support help strengthen communities, promote green education, improve health, aid sustainability and foster self sufficiency here in the US and all around the world.
We advance our mission by collecting new and used shoes, clothes and toys from individuals, schools, faith-based organizations and corporate partners, then distribute those items both via direct donations to people in need and by equipping qualified micro-enterprise programs designed to create jobs in poor and disadvantaged communities in the US and around the globe.
The items that are not wearable are then sold to fund our free education workshops and create micro-enterprise programs around the world.
We provide Green Sustainability Education Workshops to schools, non profits, youth, civic groups and religious organizations.
This is the true beginning of change, HANDS-ON opportunity to get involved with learning various aspects of recycling, reusing, reducing, composting, in ways never explored before. We strive to make a tangible difference by teaching the true power of reuse, reduce, recycle and conservation of precious natural resources, prevention of greenhouse gas emissions and saving the already crowded landfill space.
So what does it all mean to me, an average person?
Let’s say you fill a small bag with 10 pounds of unwanted clothes, shoes, and toys. By donating this single bag of items you would have otherwise thrown in the trash. You single handily contributed to saving the planet by: Preventing 36 pounds of C02 gases from polluting the atmosphere, saved 7,000 gallons of water and avoided the dispersal of significant quantity of insecticides.
This is just the beginning and upside from the environmental point of view. What about the human element?
Lets take the same 10 pound bag and send it to an impoverished person across the globe to start a Micro-enterprise. Because of this opportunity, the individual is able to feed their family. It is nothing short of amazing to watch the Micro-enterprise philosophy at work, driven simply by our unwanted trash. The items we were going to dispose off just created hope and opportunity for real change….
Still think one person can’t make an impact……

Barefootfoundation.org believes that educating our kids is the only way for real change. This is why we created “Green Supreme.” As a global advocacy for Green, we are offering a Complimentary 6 week Eco Education Work Shop which gives students, parents, teachers, companies and local organizations the opportunity to transform all schools into green, healthy, safe and productive learning communities. The workshops are geared to create and inspire enthusiasm in learning green and help save precious resources to preserve our planet. At the end of the Workshop, barefoot foundation will donate an Indoor Learning Garden or/an Indoor Aqua Garden for the participating school, so kids would be able to grow their own chives, lettuce, basil and other herbs and always continue learning.

Barefootfoundation.org believes that no men, women or child should ever go barefoot. Over 300 million pairs of shoes are tossed into landfills annually. It takes over 200 years for them to decompose. Help those that need it most. Host a drive at your school, apartment dwelling, place of worship or business. All donations are tax deductible and will be picked up locally free of charge. Make the greatest impact by greening our planet and educating for change!
Please contact: [email protected] to organize a drive and receive free marketing materials.
Please fill out the form below and we will contact you to arrange a pick up of your items. A tax donation receipt will be provided at the time of pick up.
